Nanopower Partners with Rutronik to Expand Global Access to nPZero
Nanopower Semiconductor is pleased to announce a global distribution partnership with Rutronik, making our nPZero™ ultra-low-power technology more accessible to customers and design engineers worldwide.
Rutronik will represent two products from the nPZero platform: the nPZero G1S and our newest device, the nPZ2100.
One platform. More ways to save power.
nPZero is designed to tackle a common problem in battery-powered electronics: keeping a power-hungry MCU awake to perform simple, repetitive tasks.
Instead, nPZero can autonomously manage sensors and peripherals while the host MCU remains powered down. It monitors for defined events and wakes the processor only when required.
The G1S supports up to four sensors, with typical idle consumption of just 100 nA and polling consumption of 1 µA.
The new nPZ2100 builds on this architecture with support for up to six peripherals and enhanced system monitoring, timing and energy-management capabilities. It delivers 200 nA typical idle consumption and 1 µA polling consumption, and is designed for applications including IoT sensors, asset tracking, smart buildings, industrial sensing, wearables and energy-harvesting systems.

Rutronik’s global distribution network and technical expertise will help more engineers discover, evaluate and design in nPZero technology.
For Nanopower, the partnership is an important step in making ultra-low-power autonomous system management available to a broader range of customers and applications.
