Nanopower Semiconductor Opens New Asia Pacific Office in Hong Kong Nanopower Semiconductor is excited to announce the opening of its new Asia Pacific Sales Office in Hoi Bun Road, Kwun Tong, Kowloon, Hong Kong SAR — an important next step in bringing the nPZero™ ultra-low-power platform closer to customers and partners across Asia.
Asia is one of the fastest-moving regions in the world for connected electronics, smart sensing, Industrial IoT, medical devices, asset tracking, and battery-powered innovation. With growing demand for products that run longer, use smaller batteries, and consume less power, Nanopower sees enormous opportunity for nPZero throughout the region.
The nPZero platform helps customers dramatically reduce system power consumption by allowing the main MCU to stay asleep while sensors and events continue to be monitored autonomously in ultra-low-power mode. The result is longer battery life, reduced maintenance, simpler power management, and new possibilities for energy harvesting applications.
Svein Egil Nielsen, CEO of Nanopower Semiconductor, said:
“Opening our Hong Kong office is a really important moment for Nanopower. Asia is driving so much innovation in low-power and connected electronics, and having a local presence allows us to work much more closely with customers and partners across the region. We see huge potential for nPZero as designers look for smarter ways to extend battery life and create more efficient intelligent systems.”
The expansion also marks a major step forward in Nanopower’s commercial growth strategy.
Anthony Carter, VP Global Sales, added:
“Being closer to customers and distribution partners helps us move faster and support opportunities earlier in the design cycle. More and more companies are struggling with unnecessary MCU wake-ups, short battery life, and increasing system complexity. nPZero solves real problems for designers, and we’re excited to bring that capability to more customers across Asia.”
Leading the regional expansion is Ming Kei Lam, Director of Sales APAC.
“Customers across Asia really value local engagement and local support. Having a base in Hong Kong allows us to work directly with customers, understand their challenges, and support them with local expertise and strong regional relationships. We’re looking forward to helping customers across Asia unlock the benefits of ultra-low-power intelligent systems with nPZero.”
The Hong Kong office will support regional sales, technical support, guided design expertise and customer collaboration as Nanopower continues expanding its global footprint and bringing ultra-low-power innovation to the next generation of connected products.
