With its first product already in volume production and a second product approaching market launch, Nanopower is investing in in-house test development expertise to ensure consistent product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and long-term reliability.
"As we grow our product portfolio, it is essential that we maintain a strong connection between IC design, laboratory characterization, and production testing," says Svein-Egil Nielsen, CEO of Nanopower Semiconductor. "Building internal test development capabilities allows us to accelerate feedback from manufacturing and use those insights to improve both current and future products."
The new hire will become part of Nanopower's growing engineering team in Porto, Portugal, which is being built to support the complete IC development cycle, from concept and design through characterization, qualification, and production. Strengthening test development capabilities also enhances Nanopower's ability to work closely with manufacturing and test partners, ensuring high-quality production as volumes increase.
The recruitment follows the company's recent expansion within test data analytics and represents the next step in building a comprehensive semiconductor product engineering organization.
