Video interview with Carlos Schlabitz from the TDK presenting our latest collaboration.
FEUP - an important ally in R&D
Since Nanopower’s early days, our relationship with Professor Cândido Duarte at FEUP (Faculdade de Engenharia Universidade do Porto) has been an important source of cutting-edge ideas and creativity, and he has helped us bring these ideas to life.
In 2024 we will take this collaboration to a new level.
Professor Duarte will, of course, continue, to work with us on the ongoing IPN project financed by the Research Council of Norway. This project aims at better integrating with power harvesting technologies to enable limitless IoT. The project is now entering its last year and will be important for future generations of our power-saving IC.
Fostering both R&D and talent is important, and Nanopower will host both a Ph.D. student and a Master's student. Both are being supervised by Professor Candido Duarte and will work on relevant challenges related to our ultra-low power IC design.
Relationships with academia is important to stay on top of the game. Together with FEUP, we have been able to balance academic thinking with the ability to take ideas to a commercial product: no small feat in itself.
