At Nanopower Semiconductor, we believe in teamwork, innovation, and creating shared experiences. As a Norwegian company with employees in different countries, we recently went on an amazing team-building adventure. We explored the natural beauty of Norway and brought us all closer together.
A few, more eager than the others, woke up early to catch the sunrise, capturing magical photos.
Day 1: Arrival in Bergen
Our trip began in Bergen, where our team flew in, excited for the days ahead. The weather was unusually perfect with 26 degrees Celsius, sunny and calm. Bergen is known for its rainy days, so we were set for a good start.
Day 2: Fjord cruise through Sognefjorden, Bergen - Flåm
The next morning, we took a fjord cruise through the beautiful Sognefjorden, one of Norway's most stunning fjords, also known as "King of the Fjords". The journey was full of serene waters, and cascading waterfalls. We were fascinated by the sight of isolated farms high on the hillsides, accessible only by the ferry that visits a few times a week.
Flåm and the Flåmsbana experience
Our ferry ride ended in the charming village of Flåm, where we boarded the historic Flåmsbana train. This train ride took us up the steep mountainside, offering amazing views of the surrounding landscape. We stopped at a stunning waterfall where "Huldra of Kjosfossen" performed a beautiful song, adding a special touch to our trip.
Exploring Voss
Continuing our train journey, we arrived in Voss, known for its natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. We visited Store Ringheim, a historical mountain farmstead that has been transformed into a charming restaurant and hotel. Here, we enjoyed delicious local food and experienced warm Norwegian hospitality.
Day 3: Return to Bergen, Fløibanen and a mystery adventure
On our final day, we took the train back to Bergen and rode the Fløibanen funicular to the top of Mount Fløyen. The views of Bergen from the top were spectacular. After a lovely lunch, we embarked on a unique escape room adventure. Unlike traditional escape rooms, this challenge took us through the historic buildings of Bergen, solving clues and uncovering mysteries along the way.
Celebratory dinner and reflections
We ended our trip with a wonderful dinner in Bergen. Laughter, stories, and reflections filled the evening as we celebrated our shared experiences. The amazing weather continued, making our final night together even more special.
A journey to remember
This team-building trip was more than just a journey through some of Norway's most beautiful landscapes. It was an opportunity to connect, collaborate, and create lasting memories. The spectacular scenery, unique experiences, and perfect weather made this an unforgettable adventure for everyone at Nanopower Semiconductor.
