A demo board developed in collaboration with Maxell and Epishine that showcases the capabilities of our nPZero power-saving IC.

  • Nanopower Semiconductor’s nPZero Power-Saving IC: At the heart of the demo board is the nPZero power-saving IC, designed for ultra-low power consumption and high efficiency. This IC is pivotal in managing and optimizing the power harvested and monitor sensors.

  • Epishine Indoor Photovoltaics (PV): Epishine’s indoor PV cells are designed to efficiently capture and convert ambient light into usable electrical energy. These flexible, thin, and lightweight PVs are ideal for indoor environments.

  • Maxell All-Solid-State-Batteries: Energy storage is handled by Maxell’s state-of-the-art all-solid-state batteries. Known for their reliability, safety, and long life, these batteries are perfect for storing the energy harvested by Epishine’s PVs and managed by our nPZero IC.

Typical use case

This design can typically be used for infrastructure monitoring and goods condition monitoring in logistics.

The future of sustainable energy

Indoor energy harvesting presents unique challenges and opportunities. Unlike outdoor environments where sunlight is abundant, indoor environments require more sensitive and efficient solutions to capture and store energy from ambient light. Our demo board addresses these challenges head-on, demonstrating a seamless integration of energy harvesting, sensor management, power management, and storage technologies.
